Lecture by Prof. Michael Kremer

Nobel Laureate Prof. Michael Kremer delivered a public lecture during his visit to Odisha. He spoke about the role of experimental research in improving public service delivery and shared insights from global field experiments. The event, chaired by the Chief Secretary and hosted by the Development Commissioner, was attended by over 500 participants—including Principal Secretaries, district officials from all 30 districts, and academics from leading universities across Odisha. The lecture highlighted the transformative potential of rigorous evidence in improving public service delivery and affirmed DPIC’s mission to bridge cutting-edge research with real-world governance.
