Ideas Forum with IISc

DPIC hosted its inaugural Ideas Forum on Data Exchange for Smart Governance in March 2025, in partnership with the Electronics & IT Department, Government of Odisha. The event was graced by Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Ahuja and brought together Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Commissioner-cum-Secretaries, and senior government officials, alongside leading experts from the Centre for Data for Public Good (CDPG), IISc Bengaluru. The forum fostered in-depth discussions on the role of open, interoperable data exchange platforms in enabling evidence-based policymaking. Professor Inder Gopal, CEO of IUDX and Chairman of CDPG, emphasized the importance of breaking departmental silos to build a robust, data-driven governance ecosystem. Jyotirmoy Dutta and Akshat Sharma from CDPG showcased real-world applications of data platforms across urban development, geospatial systems, and digital infrastructure.
