Executive Director Visit to UChicago

DPIC Executive Director Dr. Urmila Chatterjee visited the University of Chicago and spoke at the Becker Friedman Institute’s Lunch Series, where she shared insights on DPIC’s work at the intersection of data, policy, and governance. She introduced DPIC’s unique partnership model with the Government of Odisha—aimed at using high-quality administrative data to inform research and solve real-world development challenges across areas like skilling, migration, and public health. The visit also provided an opportunity to engage with faculty, students, and researchers from public policy, economics, and computer science, and explore future collaborations through the University’s global network.
