Capacity Building on Data Workshop at IISc

DPIC organised a Capacity Building on Data workshop at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, bringing together 20 data officers from across Government of Odisha departments to strengthen data-driven governance. The workshop was held in partnership with the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) and the Centre for Data for Public Good (CDPG), IISc, with support from the Planning & Convergence Department, Government of Odisha. The programme opened with sessions on workshop objectives and effective data use in decision-making by Dr. Urmila Chatterjee, followed by a session on administrative statistics and data quality standards by Dr. Pankaj K. P. Shreyaskar. Interactive sessions on assessing effective data use, led by DPIC’s Yashaswi Mohanty and Nikilesh Anusha, featured hands-on exercises, discussions, and participant feedback, highlighting the workshop’s focus on practical learning and implementation.
