DPIC at the Data for Public Good Symposium 2025
The DPIC team attended the Data for Public Good Symposium hosted by the Centre for Data, Public Policy and Governance (CDPG) at IISc, Bengaluru. The two-day event (14th– 15th October) brought together leading policymakers, researchers, and practitioners to explore how data, partnerships, and technology can strengthen public-sector innovation and citizen-centric governance. At the symposium, Dr Urmila Chatterjee, Executive Director, DPIC, delivered a presentation titled “Data as a Catalyst for Innovation – Unlocking the Power of Public–Private Partnerships.” Drawing on DPIC’s experience in building data-driven solutions with the Government of Odisha, she spoke about the need to modernize state data infrastructure, invest in public data capabilities, and foster equitable collaborations between government, academia, and industry. The event provided valuable opportunities for learning and dialogue, reinforcing DPIC’s commitment to transforming data into actionable intelligence for better governance outcomes.
