Ideas Forum on “Personalizing Policy – Putting AI to Work”

DPIC hosted an Ideas Forum on “Personalizing Policy – Putting AI to Work” in December 2025, in partnership with the Electronics & IT Department, Government of Odisha. The event brought together Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Commissioner-cum-Secretaries, and senior government officials from across departments. The forum featured Professor Sanjog Misra, Charles H. Kellstadt Distinguished Service Professor of Marketing and Applied AI and Faculty Director, Center for Applied AI at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. The discussion centered on how artificial intelligence, behavioral insights, and data science can reshape public policy design and implementation. Professor Misra highlighted the potential of AI to create adaptive, citizen-centric systems that enable more personalized and responsive governance. The session concluded with an interactive dialogue moderated by DPIC, reinforcing the role of innovation and experimentation in advancing evidence-based policymaking in Odisha.
