Data Officers’ Capacity Building Workshop
DPIC hosted a Data Officers’ Capacity Building Workshop in Bhubaneswar, bringing together officers from across line departments to strengthen how administrative data is managed, analysed, and used for policy decisions. Designed as a hands-on engagement, the workshop focused on building lasting data capacity within government systems and making evidence-based decision-making routine. Over two days, Data officers worked on structuring datasets and developing metadata that function within real government workflows, enabling administrative data to be transformed into AI-ready, policy-actionable insights. The workshop was led by our Executive Director, Dr. Urmila Chatterjee and Senior Data Scientist Yashaswi Mohanty, with valuable participation from Santiago Perez-Cardona and Dipankar Rath.
