Meeting with Skill Development and Technical Education Department

The DPIC team met with Shri Bhupendra Singh Poonia, IAS, Principal Secretary, Skill Development & Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha, along with senior officials from the Higher Education and SD&TE Departments. The discussion focused on policy-relevant insights emerging from the integrated skilling database curated by DPIC and early findings from ongoing field research on student education and skilling choices. The meeting highlighted how administrative data and field evidence can work together to inform stronger skilling pathways and support more evidence-based policy decisions.
