Hosting Anant and Menna

DPIC was pleased to host Associate Professor Anant Sudarshan, who is jointly affiliated with the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago and the University of Warwick. During his visit, he met with the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) to discuss the role of Emissions Trading Schemes (ETS) and the importance of strong data systems for effective air pollution management.

He also delivered a presentation to the Department of Agriculture and Farmer’s Empowerment, Government of Odisha, sharing results from a large-scale floods survey co-authored with Fiona Burlig, Assistant Professor at the Harris School of Public Policy, University of Chicago. The survey documents household-level adaptation strategies and informs policy to strengthen flood resilience across vulnerable communities.
